Summer 2012 Schedule

Classes for the Summer Session begin Monday, June 18th and run through Thursday, August 2nd.

No classes will be held July 4th for Independance Day or July 18th for Nationals (unless otherwise noted).

COMBINATION CLASSES

Mom & Me (Ages 2-3 with parent)
Spend quality time with your child and help him/her learn the basics of ballet, tap and creative movement.

Preschool (Ages 3-5) - Ballet/Tap/Creative Movement
This is an introduction to tap, ballet and creative movement through fun activities and dance routines.

Preschool Plus (Ages 4-5) - Ballet/Tap
Once your dancer has completed one year of preschool dance, move up to Preschool Plus. Expand on ballet and tap technique while also learning more extensive dance routines. Teacher approval required.

Jazz/Tap/Ballet I (Ages 5+)
This fun and energetic class will teach basic technique in jazz, ballet and tap using current dance trends, across the floor and center floor combinations.

Jazz/Tap/Ballet II (Ages 5-8)
This class builds upon the skills learned in Jazz/Tap/Ballet I. It requires a minimum of one year of Jazz/Tap/Ballet I and teacher approval.

BALLET

Ballet & Strength I (Ages 8+)
This class focuses on ballet technique, core strengthening and flexibility.

Ballet II (Ages 6+)
This class focuses on ballet technique. Must have teacher approval.

* No class July 19th

Ballet II (Ages 10+)
This class focuses on ballet technique. Must have teacher approval.

* No class July 19th

Summer Intensive Ballet With Avnun
These classes are geared towards the serious dancers that look to take their dancing to a higher level and pursue professional dance careers. Avnun's classes are twice a week.

Group 1
Must have teacher placement. Class fee is for both days.

Group 2
Must have teacher placement. Class fee is for both days.

Adult Ballet (Ages 18+)
This class will teach ballet technique and strengthening your core.

* Class IS running July 18th

JAZZ

Jazz I (Ages 9+)
Learn jazz technique, turns, jumps, kicks, leaps and more through center and across the floor combinations.

Jazz II (Ages 6+)
Must have teacher placement.

* No class July 10th

Jazz II (Ages 10+)
Must have teacher placement.

* No class July 10th

Jazz III & IV
Must have teacher placement.

* No class July 9th

CONTEMPORARY/LYRICAL

Contemporary I (Ages 9+)
This class incorporates modern and lyrical dance focusing on core strength, flexibility and more. This class requires a minimum of one year ballet instruction and current enrollment in a CSDA ballet class.

Contemporary II (Ages 9+)
Must have completed one full year of contemporary I and current enrollment in a CSDA ballet class.

* No class on July 10th

Intermediate Contemporary (Ages 11+)
Must have completed one full year of contemporary II and current enrollment in a CSDA ballet class. Must have teacher placement.

* No class on July 10th

Lyrical I (Ages 10+)
This class requires a minimum of one year ballet instruction and current enrollment in a CSDA ballet class.

Lyrical II (Ages 10+)
This class requires a minimum of one year ballet instruction and current enrollment in a CSDA ballet class.

* No class on July 9th

Modern (Ages 10+)
This class requires at least 2 years of ballet class and current enrollment in CSDA ballet class.

* No class on July 9th

HIP HOP

Mini Poppers (Ages 5-6)
This is the perfect class for your little hip hop want-to-be!

Hip Hop Level I (Ages 7+)
This class will teach current dance trends in clean hip-hop and popping

Hip Hop Level II With Alvin
Learn from one of the best in the business! Alvin Ramirez from MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew will teach the latest hip hop choreography.

*NOTE - Alvin's classes are NOT weekly.

Are you looking to try out for poms in middle school or high school? This class will help prepare you for try-outs. Learn proper turns, jumps, leaps, kicks and pom moves. Instructor will place students.

Improv/Composition
Must be dancing at Level II or higher.

* No class July 10th

Center Stage Dance Academy is committed to providing every dancer personalized, professional, quality dance training in a creative and fun environment.

If the minimum class requirement is not met, classes can be cancelled. Teachers are subject to change.
