Huntley Studio Dances Away with High Scores at Rockford Competition

CSDA started out this year’s performance season at Celebration Talent Competition’s Rockford stop on February 16th and 17th. CSDA’s ENVISION Dance Company performed 29 numbers and brought the audience at the Coronado Performing Arts Center to a standing ovation on more than one occasion. The studio’s Musical Theater production number took top score on Saturday in the 12 and under division. With 19 of their 29 entries receiving high score placements and special awards, ENVISION dancers are looking forward to an exciting year!

Huntley dance academy takes Center Stage

The expansion made room for a team locker room, private office space, additional storage space, more rest rooms and a fourth state-of-the-art dance studio.

Local Dancers Perform at Walt Disney World for Second Year

CSDA has been asked back to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida for the second year in a row. Having performed at the resort’s Downtown Disney in November 2011, the studio made quite an impression on the right people and has made their way to the “A list”. This year’s trip will happen November 29th – December 2nd.

Local Dance Studio Expands To Accommodate Growing Roster

Center Stage Dance Academy is growing by jetés and bounds! The Huntley studio recently expanded their space by 5,000 square feet doubling in size. Center Stage Dance Academy Gives Back - Local Dancers Raise Over $1,600 For American Cancer Society

Center Stage Dance Academy and Envision Dance Company participated in last weekend’s Relay for Life at Deicke Park in Huntley, IL. The overnight event began Friday, June 15th at 6:00 pm and wrapped up Saturday, June 16th at 6:00 am. CSDA had over 40 students perform at the opening ceremonies and participate in the walk that followed. Team Envision raised $1,683.76 on behalf of the American Cancer Society.

Huntley Studio Takes Regional Dance Competition Circuit by Storm
Center Stage Dance Academy has brought home top honors in a number of recent Chicagoland dance competitions. CSDA’s ENVISION Dance Company has performed eighteen numbers in six regional competitions over the last two months. The Huntley studio’s competition teams formed in 2008 with a small group of dancers and has grown to 41 students and shown amazing improvement.

Local Dance Studio Performs at Walt Disney World Resort's Downtown Disney
Center Stage Dance Academy had the esteemed honor of performing at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, FL on November 1, 2011. After being asked by the Disney selection team to submit an audition video back in May, CSDA was chosen above a number of other schools to perform a 25-minute show at the resort’s Downtown Disney.

Center Stage Dance Academy Scores Big Wins
For the Center Stage Dance Academy, the Fourth of July fireworks were just the beginning, as in the weeks after the national holiday the Huntley-based team captured 15 first-place awards in both regular and dance-off competitions as well as several Judges’ Choice Awards at separate national contests.

Center Stage Dancers enter Hall of Fame with Platinum Feet
The performance dance team of Huntley’s Center Stage Dance Academy entered the 2011 Hall of Fame dance competition with platinum feet. Twelve of their performances won Platinum Awards and many of those performances also won overall placement and special judges’ awards.

Center Stage’s “Office Space” Closes – The Show That Is!
Center Stage Dance Academy’s “Office Space” Hip Hop crew takes home the big one! These hip hoppers left the judges speechless after their phenomenal performance which won them the highest points awarded during two days of intense competition. The Cathy Roe Ultimate Dance Challenge was held March 4th and 5th at the Blizzard Theater within the Elgin Community College Campus.
